About Statewide Abstract Foundation
Statewide Abstract Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, hosting their annual golf outing to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in support of their ongoing mission of never charging families of sick children for treatment, travel, housing or food.

This foundation is a charitable extension of Statewide Abstract Corp., a leader in the title insurance business, with a rich heritage built nearly 40 years ago by the Meccia Family. Jim Meccia, Board Chairman, founded Statewide in 1979 and built the company on principles that still characterize our business today: “Stay close to the client and be a good listener. Our job is to make their job easier and effortless.” Statewide began with four employees and a small office in White Plains and as the real estate market continued to prosper, the company successfully grew in response to the emerging needs of both long-term and new clients. In 2007, the company expanded and opened an office in Manhattan as well.

About St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

St. Jude has helped push the childhood cancer survival rate from less than 20% when they opened to 80% today. More than 75% of their operating costs comes from generous donors which allows them to focus on saving children, regardless of their financial situation. Danny Thomas, the founder, believed that "no child should die in the dawn of life", and the research hospital has spent more than half a century focusing on their mission:
Finding cures. Saving children.
